Ezymilk Paediatric Drops: Each ml drop contains Lactase USP 0.11g equivalent to 3333.33 units.

Description

Lactase is an enzyme that helps to prevent symptoms of lactose intolerance. It breaks down the lactose (milk sugar) to produce glucose and galactose via hydrolysis and making dairy food easier to digest.

Indications

Prevention of symptoms of lactose intolerance in infants- Infantile colic Abdominal pain Bloating Flatulence Diarrhea Borborygmi

Dosage & Administration

Add lactase enzyme to breast milk or formula in the following directions- Breast Milk: 1.Express a few tablespoons (2-3 tablespoons) of breast milk into sterilized container 2.Add 4 drops of lactase paediatric drops 3.Give mixture to infant on a spoon or oral syringe before initiating breastfeeding 4.Breast feed as normal Formula: 1.Add 4 drops of lactase paediatric drops to warm (not hot) formula 2.Wait 30 minutes, shaking formula occasionally Making formula in advance: 1.Add 2 drops of lactase paediatric drops to warm formula 2.Store in refrigerator for minimum 4 hours 3. Feed Infant as normal 4,Use within 12 hour 5. Discard any unused formula

Side Effects

There are no major side effects reported. Very few side-effects may include rash, difficulty in thinking, tightness in chest etc.

Precautions

The milk should be warm and close to body temperature but not too hot or too cold. Do not boil milk with lactase drops already mixed in with milk.

Over Dose

Over dose of Lactase paediatric drops may cause loose motion.

Storage

Do not store above 30 o C. Keep away from light and out of the reach of children. After opening the cap of the Lactase Paediatric Drops, it must be stored into the refrigerator and after 6 weeks it cannot be used.
